Joe Cheap’s Sporting Goods has been a successful family-owned business since it was opened in January of 1970 at 1901 Main Street in Woodward, Oklahoma. The location was formerly the home of Roberts Brothers Sporting Goods, which had also operated successfully for many years before Zip and Hi Roberts sold the store to entrepreneurs Joe and Lanus Cheap in late 1969. As one of the oldest continuously operating retail businesses in Woodward, Joe Cheap’s Sporting Goods has set the standard for friendly and reliable sales of sporting goods for more than 38 years while enjoying an outstanding reputation throughout Northwest Oklahoma and surrounding areas in Texas and Kansas.
